1.2 Beams. "Interlocking Structure" by Thanyathorn Mateekusontan, Ping Ping

I was inspired by the beam structure design of a boxing hall in Australia. That they used the idea of interlocking to designed and built a very strong as appearance and functional structure.

Firstly, splitting one vertical wood piece in to four then using the method of using horizontal pieces to interlock with the vertical ones, which creates a very strong structure which can hold forces both vertically and horizontally.

This is the PDF file of the analysis of the procedure of building the design. High Definition PDF

By combining four different heights of the same structure, I created a functional sets of structure. Where the different heights can effect the slope of the vertical pieces, where they could be stairs, slopes, and could hang balconies, and other inhabit space is possible.
